Overview
Objective
The Fund aims to provide Unitholders with a steady and consistent dividend income over the medium to long term investment period. Returns will be further enhanced through capital appreciation of investments.
This Fund is the replacement fund for the former KLCity Dana Imbang which has been discontinued.
Financial Year End: 30 Sept
Distribution Policy: Distribution will be incidental.
Investor Profile
Suitable for investors who:
- have medium term to long term investment horizon and reasonable risk tolerance;
- needs a Shariah-adherent investments that provides an alternative investment structure by investing in Shariah-compliant securities.
Strategy
As a rule, only stocks that have been classified as Shariah-compliant securities would be considered in the Fund's stock selection. Key concepts taken into consideration would include value investing, returns or income yield, discount to NTA.
As no single strategy works all the time in a dynamic market, continuous monitoring of the market is essential in detecting changes in fundamentals and suitability of the Fund Manager's main strategies. At certain strategic points in time, technical tools and other tactival strategies may be employed over a short-term period to seek additional returns. The ultimate goal is to obtain the highest absolute returns in a controlled fashion. At the minimum, preservation of capital is critical.
For sukuk, the Fund will seek to invest only in issues with strong capabilities to service their profit and pay the principal amount, have a minimum "BBB" rating by RAM.
Asset Allocation:
- Equities - Minimum of 40% & Maximum 60%;
- Sukuk and Liquid Assets - Minimum 40% & Maximum 60%
